Tiona
The project with Tiona was something that truly allowed me to explore the interplay between the human form, art, and storytelling. As Oasis Imagery, I strive to capture not just the person in front of the lens, but the essence of who they are and what they embody.
Tiona, with her natural grace and raw energy, became the perfect muse for this series. We aimed to create a visual narrative that evokes a sense of timelessness while paying homage to the analog film era. The film rolls draped around her represent not only the vintage aesthetic but also the way stories and moments are captured on film — fragile, yet powerful. Each frame in this series tells a part of Tiona’s journey, as if the film itself is narrating the story of her presence, movement, and spirit.
Her poise and elegance shine through the entire shoot, from the intricate poses to the softer, more intimate moments. It’s a visual dance between her and the medium, the soft textures of the background blending seamlessly with her striking figure. The green and earthy tones of the backdrop contrast with the darker elements of her wardrobe, creating a perfect canvas for her to express herself freely.
One of the key aspects I wanted to highlight in these photographs was the duality between strength and vulnerability. Tiona’s posture in each frame showcases this, whether she’s striking a powerful pose or letting the film flow gently around her body. The use of movement in some of the shots was intentional — to blur the lines between past and present, to capture her in motion as if she’s stepping out of one frame and into another.
For me, this series is a celebration of art, form, and individuality. Tiona’s natural beauty combined with her effortless connection to the camera made this project a true joy to create. The shoot is about more than just capturing a pretty picture; it’s about creating an emotional resonance, telling a story through images that feel cinematic yet deeply personal. Every detail, from the golden accents in her jewelry to the old-school film rolls scattered on the floor, was chosen to complement her unique aura and enhance the story we were telling together.
This project, like much of my work, is about inviting the viewer to feel something — to pause, reflect, and perhaps imagine their own story within the frames. Tiona brought a richness to the shoot that I can only describe as magnetic, and I’m grateful to have been able to capture her in a way that feels timeless and powerful.
